I’m considering an ’03 Tundra as my next work truck, and am wondering what
the options are as far as carrying cargo in the rear seat area of the
Access Cab model. I understand that the rear seat is a 60/40 split design,
and that one side (the 40% side?) folds up. Does this free up much room,
or is it really just for the occassional oversize package?
The idea I’m toying with is to install a lockable tool box in the back in
which to carry survey instruments, but I’d prefer not to remove the entire
seat — I’d like to be able to leave my son’s car seat installed in the
back.
I’ve been too busy to visit the showroom and have not been able to find any
photos of the interior with the rear seat folded up. If anyone can point
me to online photos that might clarify things, or otherwise comment upon
the feasibility of this idea, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks.
