Hey All,
Is it possible to get a 4×4 Regular cab with the v6 engine? I
heard it was but never confirmed. If so, is it difficult to get the
dealer to special order it? Thanks!

It used to be, havent seen any new ones in a long time, about 96 area is
when they quit. Not sure if they will bring htem back either???

Special ordering was no problem at my dealership. I filled out the build sheet
for my ’98 Tacoma TRD Limited 4×4 and had the lovely beast built to my specs
with every option available at the time. You just dont see alot of TRD
equipped limited Tacomas especially one with a 5-speed tranny due to the high
cost of the jewel with that many options. Dealers just dont sale that many
because most people that will pay that much for a truck would just as soon go
to a 4-Runner or Landcruiser. The order was placed in July of 97 and she
arrived the first week of Nov. 97 with 1.8 miles on the odometer. One of the
happiest days of my life!!!!!
P.S. And they got it right the first time. Down to ever detail. The first
’98 TRD in this Texas county.
