Oil Filter Relocation Kit

Anybody use an oil filter relocation kit on their Tacoma? I bought one
from Performance Products and am a little nervous about the hose life. I
had two high performance hoses made up at Napa today and am going to try
the install at my next oil change. If anyone has any horror stories to
share I would greatly appreciate the advanced warning! Thanks!

brake indicator on dashboard

What error conditions make the brake light error indicator on dash
illuminate.
I know that one of the errors is low brake fluid but that is not my problem.
Thank you,

1993 Toyota 22RE Airconditioning

Installed a new compressor because the old one was froze up when I
purchased the truck. Charged it up and it come on and worked fine for a
few minutes. Then it went to kicking on and off and the longer I left it
on the faster it got. I know there is a dual pressure swithch some where
but I can not locate it. Does any one know what is going on with this
thing? Also could it be this dual pressure switch, which I can not find.
If any one know the location could you clue me in?

1999 4Runner clutch noise

My 1999 (4 cyl and manual transmission) has given me just one problem since
I bought it a couple of months ago. The clutch makes a squeaking sound. I
lubricated the parts under the dashwboard (pedals and whatever seemed to be
connected to the clutch pedal) but the noise continues. It is driving me
nuts.

Can this be a sign of clutch trouble? Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

trailer light converter

Recently my converter bit the dust on my ’99  4-runner. As I’m handicapped,
I went to my local Toyota dealer and asked how much to replace it. They told
me $300!!!??
What’s the deal? Can anyone offer  or suggest an alternative for me?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Need advice on purchase of 97 4Runner

Thinking of buying this and would appreciate feedback:

1997 4R Limited 2wd, 124k miles, leather, sunroof, supercharged.
Mechanically sound, cosmetically a 7 on scale of 10.  Price $7000.

Does this seem like a fair price?
Anything I need to look out for with this type 4R? (esp with the
supercharger and this many miles)

Thanks in advance.

Q re TRD Supercharger noise

Looking at buying a supercharged 97 4R.  Took it to non-Toyota ASE mechanic
who said supercharger has bearing noise and may be about to go.  It does
sound like bearing noise to me (a layman). Guy at Toyota dealer says the
bearing sound is normal and superchargers are usually pretty loud.  Is this
generally correct? BTW, vehicle runs great but it 124k miles pushing it on a
supercharger?  Thanks.

Tires: Smaller size spare.

If I have about 2" smaller spare tire (by diameter), can I use it to drive
some 10-20 miles to the nearest repair shop? I know that using a different
size (or even different tread pattern) tires is not good — worse handling,
etc, but how bad is it, really? What is the effect on differential (of
driving 10-20 mls)? Is it too dangerous to drive like this, even at low
speeds, say, 40 mph?

Thanks!

Shock eyelet needed

anyone have a old set of front shocks for 01 02 or 03 Tacoma ??

i need the bottom eyelets off the shock for a project i’m working on with my
2002 Tacoma. i will pay shipping costs, just enclose a shipping receipt and
i will pay for it. i just need the eyelets so they would need to be
hacksawed off.

what are they for you ask. well, one way to get some lift is to make the
coilover longer, so i plan to weld the old eyelet to the bottom of my
bilstein eyelet. no worries, me and my TIG make some strong stuff.

thanks.
