Had a Cooper produced private brand on my "85 4X4 truck in LT235/75R15. You
could do worse, but not great traction. November Consumer Reports just rated
them. Said they were a very good winter choice. Where do you live?

I do believe that Cooper is one of the last remaining ‘independent’ domestic
US producers.
While I’ve not used this particular tire on my Tacoma, I can tell you that
I’ve had two sets of their Lifeliners on my import wagon and they were above
average in lifespan <60k +>. Traction and handling weren’t bad either.

Cooper tires are made in Findlay, Ohio and as far as I know the only place.

They have really expanded since I worked there. Of course that was over 40
years ago.
