Oscillating idle source?

My 95.5 tacoma (3rzfe(?) 2.7L 4) has an intermittant idle problem.  On
occasion, the idle will oscilate: rah, rah, rah, nearly stalling each
time the revs drop.  Drive a few minutes more, and it usually clears
up.  Doesn’t seem to occur when cold, and seems more likely after long
periods of running.  I’ve changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and
air filter.  Haven’t done the fuel filter, yet. (why did they have to
put it THERE?)

Also, does anyone else notice a hiccup when gradually lifting off the
throttle after hard acceleration?

Thanks,

  Steve

  1. admin says:

yup, my supercharge v-6 does it too… the MAF sensor was cleaned and it
stopped for a few weeks and now it does it again…. its most likely either
the MAF, PCV valve or the TPS<throttle position sensor>

im betting on TPS at this point.
