Rear differential oil leak.

My 1990 pickup truck had gear oil leaking from the joint of drive
shaft with the differential. How can I fix it ?

pinion bearing seal, but you probably also need a new bearing, and a new
thrust bushing will also be needed.

Dan is probably correct, but you could first check the breather on top of the axle to make sure its not clogged (would cause a
build-up of pressure in the axle in-use and force oil past the seal).  You could also check the flange for side to side play and
if present, you may be able to re-torque the pinion nut (30mm staked nut).  If both those fail, then the seal is gone and will
    need to be replaced.

I will check the breather and the flange.
Is the seal job is difficult, does it need special tools ? I only
have basic tools, and the auto skills just average.
