On 1980′s era pickup truck (Toyota), how are the truck rear fender
panels attatched ?
I’ve come across mechanically excellent used trucks with rust in this
area.
How easy is it to remove and replace these panels ?
Are they welded or bolted on ?
The rust seems to develop at what appears to be seam areas and then
spreads.

Fixing that bed rust is a no win in the long run proposition. Toyota
offers a better made replacement bed for about $1500.00. Many companies
offer aftermarket beds, some metal, some fiberglass, if you do an internet
search you will find several. good luck, jnkessler
