My ’99 Tacoma did not come with cruise and I plan on adding it ( from
the dealer ). When you engage the cruise on a Taco that has cruise
factory installed, does an indicator come on in the dash ? If so,
where is it located exactly ? Thanks.

Paul, check your manual. On page 7 of the 97 manual it shows that a CRUISE
indicator light appears in the indicator light area of the dash (bottom of
the instrument panel). It’s amazing what you can find in the owner’s manual
and they list all the options available on a vehicle even if you don’t have
that particular option on yours.
