I own a 2001 Land Cruiser, it came with the JBL system from the factory.
Does anyone else here who has the same system find it too Bassie when tuned
to local FM radio stations? Is there any way to fix this?
TIA

Try turning the bass gain down a bit, most car audio systems are a bit bass
heavy, as highs and mids tend to get absorbed by the vehicle and passengers.

Even with the Bass turned down to -5 it still pretty bassie. CDs and tapes
are fine, I can turn the Bass up with no problem. It just happens on FM
radio stations. I wonder if the Mark Levinson systems in the Lexus’ are any
different.

Perhaps a function of your choice in music stations? I know the station I
listen to, tends to boost the bass a bit. Atleast on the music feed, the
dj’s voice seems to be fine.
