Perhaps a function of your choice in music stations? I know the station I
listen to, tends to boost the bass a bit. Atleast on the music feed, the
dj's voice seems to be fine.

Sameer

"Joseph Wind" <j...@gif.com> wrote in message

news:aovsd4$s1m$1@news.laserlink.net...

- Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -
> Even with the Bass turned down to -5 it still pretty bassie. CDs and
tapes
> are fine, I can turn the Bass up with no problem. It just happens on FM
> radio stations. I wonder if the Mark Levinson systems in the Lexus' are
any
> different.

> "Snooze" <smanek...@earthlink.net> wrote in message
> news:siKs9.6302$U97.578601@newsread2.prod.itd.earthlink.net...
> > Try turning the bass gain down a bit, most car audio systems are a bit
> bass
> > heavy, as highs and mids tend to get absorbed by the vehicle and
> passengers.

> > "Joseph Wind" <j...@gif.com> wrote in message
> > news:aovmdv$bia$1@news.laserlink.net...
> > > I own a 2001 Land Cruiser, it came with the JBL system from the
factory.
> > > Does anyone else here who has the same system find it too Bassie when
> > tuned
> > > to local FM radio stations? Is there any way to fix this?

> > > TIA

> > > JW

> Even with the Bass turned down to -5 it still pretty bassie. CDs and
tapes
> are fine, I can turn the Bass up with no problem. It just happens on FM
> radio stations. I wonder if the Mark Levinson systems in the Lexus’ are
any
> different.
Try turning the bass gain down a bit, most car audio systems are a bit bass
heavy, as highs and mids tend to get absorbed by the vehicle and passengers.

"Joseph Wind" <j...@gif.com> wrote in message

news:aovmdv$bia$1@news.laserlink.net...

- Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -
> I own a 2001 Land Cruiser, it came with the JBL system from the factory.
> Does anyone else here who has the same system find it too Bassie when
tuned
> to local FM radio stations? Is there any way to fix this?

> TIA

> JW
