I have a 2001 Tundra with 18,000 miles that has what sounds like valve
lifter noise. It is more pronounced when engine is cold but still can be
heard when engine is hot. This was noticeable when the truck was new but
seems to be getting louder recently. Has anyone else encountered this
problem ?
Thanks

If you get any answers, please post them here. I only have about 5k on
mine, but am interested if there may be a problem.

My ’94 manual, says, that uphill and/or under load I could expect a
slight noise from the valve train. Not those exact words, but. Try
higher octane gas, other than that, I don’t know. Lower gear? K
